Hope.

Hope.

As humans we're left with little option but to learn from other co-inhabitants of this planet. to limit our thesis and anti-thesis, we learn or observe or at the least expected to do so from other humans, though if not from the rest. Without doubt one can assert that the limit thus set restricts us from a great pool of resourceful teachers nature has provided. Very often, we cite our four-legged pals and their loyalty, involuntary affection, indiscriminate show of love, irrespective of what is offered in return. This is pretty much a well-quotable example of nature's abundantly resourceful teacher, we are well aware of.

Having begun a topic headed as 'Hope', and to continue in a direction presumably little relevant this far is criminal. And further is no near pardonableness.

In my understanding of human behavior it is to be said that, our learning begins with the advent of our childhood. Then, we observe minute nuances of humans and objects surrounding us. Thus, a majority portion of the learning is influenced by the adults in one's household - say, the child's parents, grand parents, other elders, nannies and more. The process of learning does not have any given set of syllabus, and extends to vast limits. It includes handling of objects to personality traits. One such crucial personality trait learned during childhood is 'Hope'. We initially learn to live with Hope and then are influenced to build one of one's own. If we are rightly doing it is at what the determining turning points in life are established.

To keep Hope and to get Hope happens to be the inevitable, thriving process of livelihood. There is little to be imagined without this virtue to articulate something called life.Such Hope could be said as well established upon a platform of Trust and Expectation. To mathematically present a formulation, I would say thus:

Hope = Trust divided by Expectation.

Assuming, if Trust upon something or someone is given a value of 1, and Expectation a value of 1, then Hope would also be 1. Say here, if we increment the Expectation to 2, the Hope dwindles to half, whereas, if Trust is incremented to 2, keeping Expectation at 1, then Hope doubles. A Hope upon something or someone with inequable Trust and Expectation keeps it at safe lengths.

To quote the mother-child relationship is ideal to substantiate my basis. The child is bereft of everything in this world, expect Hope. The hope it has is purely on its mother and the child get a sense of assurance that it would be taken care of during any exigencies by its mother. The gradual expansion of Hope happens as an unavoidable event in any humans life. This point could well be described as 'Living with Hope'. here, one learns to live upon a given set of conditions that define trust and hope upon a given person or object or anything abstract. As we grow we extend the qualities of building hope of one's self.

As adults, we get limited resources to hope from within a given family structure. Hence we expand our search for Hope from outside. The 'outside', is what is in the vicinity of the seeker. It also depends on the form of Hope that is sought. The form of Hope may well be at the distance of the next footstep or at the distance of the stars. Saying so, I do not comprehend, that something at a distance is unreachable. Having the fastest approachable object called human mind, the distance is less worthy of being quoted. There is Hope somewhere - dangling in the heights - reachable to those who extend their arms. 

As civilizations evolved, humans deposited their hopes on their habitats and societies, their protectors, their rulers, as an expansion as being sought outside of their familial connection. The expansion, one can claim that, extended to the definition and exaltation of a supreme body called God. Thus, such a theory would aver that, God is man-made, which is not the within the framework of this essay and hence being discontinued from further analysis. As civilizations took different dimensions and in their latest formation, we are of a circumstance where hope shall be bestowed upon not just rulers, but leaders of a political nature. The leaders gathered hope that was scattered amongst the rulers to whose length such rulers did not scale up. The rulers failed to scale up because, they had an incremented expectation or a decremented trust or both. In strict sense, leaders mushroomed out of failures of the rulers. And the people called upon the leaders to rule, so as to alleviate the misrule of the then rulers. Thus, to quote examples, leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Veer Savarkar, Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln, Churchill, and more evolved. And many did form into a ruler in due course.

With more people with more Hope towards leaders than rulers, the mushrooming of leaders goes unchecked. In an Economics way of thinking, an unchecked supply of any stock results in increased defective produce in the market. Similarly, such mushrooming leaders left a gap-able portion of Hope unfilled. To fill that gap, their sprung up the social workers. And to fill their gap comes in the activists. It's a fresh evolution of a new ecosystem. All this long, the hope was let to deteriorate cannot be wholly accounted for inadequate Trust with the leaders, but also with an unchecked increase of Expectation.

Thus, the society has begun to be deprived of the required Hope - from outside. And, as a consequence, the adults in a household transcend this deprivation into the familial context, into the children in their houses, which means, there is less to Hope for a child from it's mother. To say 'Less', means, a child of today can extract from a mother of today, lesser than what a child of yesterday could have extracted from a mother of yesterday. This is not any new or unknown subject. This is not any new formation. This is a certainty as destined to be, in the due course of global events. Therefore, the virtue of Hope faces serious detrimentalness on all it's fronts. The current American President, Obama, pinned his campaign for his first time election, on this same virtue of Hope. For his pinning of the campaigned, he became popularly celebrated as the re-advent of the 'Messiah'. His endeavor, whether revitalized hope, or directed in such direction, or if he made use of the circumstance of insufficiency of hope for his benefit, has to be described by time only.

In a worldwide speculation, at the given direction of travel of Hope, the value is detrimental as the days count increases. Such detrimental Hope creates Hopeless creatures in the ecosystem. One would wander without Hope and without Hope-able traits. 
One would be
a Hopeless son,
a Hopeless husband,
a Hopeless father,
a Hopeless employee,
a Hopeless manager,
a Hopeless subject,
a Hopeless ruler,
and thereon.


Here, it could be understood that, in a proper system of civilization, Hope is not just a greasing factor in the civilization's process machinery that keeps it going but the fuel by itself. When there is an exploitation of the system, it lets the Hope to leak out of it's chamber and thereby despises the system.


In Hindu mythology, one strongly believes that, in Bhagavad Geetha, Lord Krishna assures that, at a point of time in this world, in Kali Yuga, due to anomalies in the society, rampant atrocities by classes against the masses, accumulation of wealth and greed tops wisdom and merits, when people will lose Hope, thence, he shall reincarnate as 'Kal Ki', to revitalize Hope to the one who has surrendered oneself unto him.
